Our Approach to Healthy Aging

At Get Going, we focus on movement-based wellness and lifestyle support for older adults. Our evidence-informed approach combines accessible fitness routines, educational resources, and ongoing encouragement to promote strength, confidence, and joyful aging.

Our Story

After watching her grandparents age, Madyson Kettler was inspired to create a program that promotes independence and healthy aging. As an Exercise Science Major at the University of New Mexico and a future Physical Therapist, Madyson understands the importance of movement. The best quality of life is forged from movement and fitness. With help from University of New Mexico researchers and local Physical Therapists, Get Going was launched, incorporating evidence-based strategies for active aging. As a tribute to Madyson's grandparents, the name Get Going was derived from her grandparents last name, Goen, and provides a call to action as the program's mission. Get Going and find healthy aging for yourself or for your friends and family.
